Acer this week rolled out its new gaming notebook in India dubbed as Predator Helios 500. The new device will come in 2 versions, sporting almost Intel Core i9-8950HK 8th Gen with AMD Ryzen 7 2700 or Nvidia GTX1070 8GB Graphics with AMD Vega 56 Graphics.
The Intel Core i9 version is obtainable at an introductory cost of Rs 249,999 and the Core i7 version will hit the shelves shortly with an uncertain cost label of Rs 199,999. It is obtainable in India with exclusive e-tail partners and at exclusive Acer malls.
The new gaming device has been integrated with full HD or 4K UHD IPS 17.3-inch screen with refresh rates of 144 Hz. Both the external G-Sync capable monitors and in-built screen are supported by Nvidia G-sync tech. It also has HDMI 2.0 ports, display ports, and dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, which support almost 3 external monitors. According to the firm, a subwoofer and two speakers along with Waves MAXXAudio and Acer TrueHarmony technology offer hyper-realistic 3D audio and incredible sound employing Waves Nx.
Asp per Acer, the Intel Optane memory1 elevates load times and responsiveness, while the Killer DoubleShot Pro networking, NVMePCIe SSDs, and almost 64 GB of RAM keep the action going. This makes the new device a perfect gaming notebook for live-streaming and graphic-intensive AAA titles.
The Helios 500 has been integrated with 2 of the firm’s proprietary metal AeroBlade 3D fans for cooling and 5 heat pipes that allocate cool air to the device’s major elements while releasing hot air at the same time. Fan speed can be customized and controlled via the PredatorSense application.
Speaking of gaming devices, HP India earlier launched its new range of Pavilion Gaming devices targeted at mainstream gamers. The firm had revealed the HP Pavilion Gaming 15 and HP OMEN 15 laptops.
