Criticism For Skype 8 Leads To Extend The Support For Skype 7

Prior to this month, Microsoft has updated Skype and rolled out some of the major feature updates that have the features like call recording, free HD video calling and more. However, the update was designed to replace Skype 7.0, which is now generally known as Skype Classic, Microsoft shares that it is increasing the support for Skype Classic.

The announcement was made by the Microsoft on their support forum and is noticed by Thurrott. Earlier the company was expected the Skype 8.0 will replace its earlier version completely, with an end to the support for Skype 7.0 by September 2018.

Recently, the tech giant has announced that it is going to extend the Skype 7.0 support for the indefinite time because of the feedback it is receiving from the users.

The company said, “Depend on the feedback of customer, we are for some time increasing the Skype Classic’s (Skype 7.0) support. The users can utilize the Skype 7.0 until the next update.

The company further thanked all their customers for their feedback and responded that we are listening and we are working towards bringing all the more required features you need in Skype 8.0.

However, the tech giant has not made any announcement of comment about how long they are going to extend the support for Skype Classic, the decision is just as good as good news for the users who have not been adopted or become familiar with the Skype 8.0.

As soon as the Skype 8.0 hits the market, it starts getting the criticism from the users because it lacks a lot of features which its predecessor had and people were happily using it. The users put no hold on their thoughts and slammed the tech giants with their comments and reviews about the new Skype in the support forum of Microsoft.
