Controversy over Arogya Setu app, after Owaisi, Rahul Gandhi accuses central government

To prevent the spread of Corona, the controversy has been deepening regarding the Arogya Setu App brought by the Central Government. Recently, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi accused the central government of collecting personal data through the app.

Now after him, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also targeted the government on the Arogya Setu app. They have said that technology can protect us. But it is wrong to take undue advantage of people’s fears. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi accused the central government that taking advantage of the fear of the people should not be tracked without their consent.

On Saturday, he tweeted, “The Arogya Setu App is a sophisticated monitoring system outsourced to a private operator with no institutional oversight – serious data security and privacy concerns.” Technology can help keep us safe; But fear should not be taken advantage of to track citizens without their consent.
